Flower frog vases with detachable lid
This new vase design has been inspired by my journey to grow @dahliabeach dahlias. I sought advice from several florists about the perfect vase and one suggestion was a detachable lid with holes, similar to a traditional rose bowl.
I’ve kept the design simple and slightly curvy. It measures around 8.5cm high and 7 cm across and is perfect for creating an arrangement for flowers like roses and dahlias with heavy heads, since it means you can position the flowers more easily; and the delicate stems are supported.
It comes in a the following shades: duck-egg blue, marshmallow pink, sea-green and layered greens.
The porcelain vase is handthrown on the wheel and the lid is made from a flat piece of clay and has varying sized holes (6mm and 10mm).
It comes thoughtfully and sensitively packaged in recyclable materials.
Please see detail shots for close-up of the glaze on these forms.
(The layered green has a slight crack in the base but is still water-tight, hence the slightly discounted price).
