Cosy tea-light house workshop
Cosy tea-light house workshop
Create a cute tea-light house at the beautiful Nook Gallery and Studios in Kings Heath.
I'll provide all the materials you need to create a charming decoration that will add a touch of warmth to your home. No experience in clay is necessary, however dexterity with your fingers is useful in assembling small sections of clay. (the finished house measures 9cm by 6cm).
We will be using paperclay to handbuild the tea-light house which is very easy to use. I will bring some stamps, and cutters so that you can decorate your house, but do bring any craft items with which to personalise your house.
There will be tea/coffee/mulled wine and biscuits to fuel your creativity. Please arrive by 6.55pm so you can get settled and be ready to start at 7pm. You will then have an hour and 45 minutes to make your house
After the event I will take the houses home and fire them unglazed in my kiln (at 1250 degrees C), and the houses will then be returned to Nook for collection from mid November (tbc). I will confirm by email.
The photo shows how the fired house will appear - a beautiful matte white textured finish
This will be a fun and unique evening to get you in the mood for winter. There are only 9 spots available.
Early bird ticket offer has now expired.
New date added - January 16 2025.
