Wobble pots
Like the mini moon jars, the wobble pots are also a new form for me.
They sit on a round base and are designed to always sit up right but do rock back and forth.
They are quite playful and remind me of childhood Weebles (which wobble but don’t fall over).
They are fired on their rims enabling me to glaze the curved bottom and the result is a very tactile and pleasing shape; the rims enjoy an organic and distorted form.
Whilst I haven’t designed them with a specific use it has been suggested they could be used as:
shot jars; mini storage vessels; mini planters or as votives. I have included a scented tea-light to make them perfect for gifting.
They measure around 6cm high and have an opening of approx 6.5cm.
This batch has colourful pops of interior colour and a white glaze has been applied over a scratched exterior. One of the pots is glazed in my white crystalline glaze.
